Lando & Anastasi, LLP Expands Litigation and Patent Teams

Cambridge Intellectual Property Law Firm Continues Growth

Cambridge, MA, November 1, 2010 –  Lando and Anastasi, LLP (L&A) today announced that Danni Tang and Julia Mathis have joined the firm as associates.

Recognized by the Boston Business Journal in 2009 as the second fastest growing IP firm in the Boston area, L&A has continued its growth throughout 2010.  L&A has been successful in attracting talent from top firms in Boston and other parts of country as attorneys and clients recognize the value of the firm's practice model.

"Our trial attorneys help clients protect and defend their inventions in complex intellectual property litigation.  Technology companies of all sizes, from Fortune 50 companies to start-ups, have relied on our litigators and patent practitioners to take care of their most sensitive intellectual property issues," said Ann Lamport Hammitte, a partner at L&A.  "Both Danni and Julia have joined L&A teams that have always provided creative and sophisticated counsel to clients," she added.

Danni Tang is an Associate at L&A, and focuses her practice on all aspects of intellectual property litigation.  Prior to joining L&A, she was an Associate at Fish & Richardson P.C. in Boston.  "Danni Tang is a great addition to our litigation team.  Her exceptional ability to solve complex technical and legal issues will serve our clients well" said Craig Smith, a partner at L&A.

Danni is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  She graduated from Harvard Law School, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Harvard College, magna cum laude, and a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.   Danni has technical experience as a Software Design Engineer at Teradyne, Inc., and she was also a Technical Intern for Yahoo! Inc.

Julia Mathis was previously a Summer Associate at L&A.  She will focus her practice on patent and trademark counseling and prosecution in various electrical and computer technologies, particularly in the area of computer systems and electronics.

Julia is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  She graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center, cum laude, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Binghamton University.  Prior to entering the legal profession, Julia spent several years as an engineer with Agilent/Avago Technologies, and as a product manager for Newton Peripherals.

"It is terrific to have Julia back with us.  She brings a business perspective to her legal and technical skills; as such, she is a great complement to our Computer and Electronics Technologies practice, which handles a wide variety of intellectual property matters for a broad range of clients." said Tom Sullivan, a partner at L&A.
