Cambridge, MA, August 9, 2010 – Lando and Anastasi, LLP (L&A) today announced that Brian D. Bean joined the firm as an Associate.
Brian was previously an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP in Madison, WI. He focuses his practice on a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, opinion work, due diligence and general intellectual property counseling in the areas of organic and inorganic chemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. "We are delighted to be able to add Brian's expertise to our representation of new ventures and established leaders in the pharmaceutical industry" said Diana Collazo, a partner at L&A. "Our life science practice has grown rapidly. Brian's experience will be a great asset to our practice and will expand the depth and capacity of services we provide to our clients," she added.
Before entering the field of intellectual property law, Brian was a postdoctoral research associate in biophysics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison; he was also a postdoctoral research scholar in analytical chemistry at the California Institute of Technology.
Brian is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School, cum laude. He received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Stanford University, and a B.A. in Chemistry and Political Science from Amherst College, magna cum laude.
