Growth at L&A

We are pleased to welcome Gregory D. Gutierrez, Ph.D. and Amanda V. Cardona to the firm.

Greg joins the firm’s Life Sciences practice as a Technology Specialist. His technical experience is at the crossroads of organic synthesis, photochemistry, and polymer science. Greg received his Ph.D. from MIT, where he was a graduate student in Professor Timothy Swager’s laboratory. “We are thrilled to welcome Greg to our growing practice,” notes Cathy McCarty, a partner in the Life Sciences practice. “His technical experience compliments our small-molecule practice and will serve our diverse base of life science clients.” Greg received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry magna cum lade from Cornell University.

Amanda joins the firm’s Chemical and Materials Science practice as a Patent Agent. Prior to joining the firm, Amanda was a Patent Agent/Scientific Advisor at Panitch Schwarze in Philadelphia, PA.  Amanda brings several years of experience as a research scientist to her practice. She managed a genetics lab with a focus on cancer and cardiovascular research at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. “Amanda’s diverse background in chemical and materials science will add to our offerings,” notes Peter Lando, a founding partner of the firm.  Amanda received her Master of Engineering in Materials Science Engineering at Boston University and her Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
