Lando & Anastasi, LLP Names New Partner in Life Sciences Group

Lando & Anastasi, LLP (L&A) recently announced the election of David Lu, Ph.D. as a Partner of the firm. The Cambridge-based intellectual property law firm is one of the largest IP firms in New England and is projecting 20% growth in its legal staff this year.

David was previously an associate at L&A and joined the firm’s Life Sciences group in 2008. David represents clients in all areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, including biochemistry, molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, microbiology, genetics and genomics. He has particular expertise in patent prosecution, opinion work, due diligence and general intellectual property counseling. .

David graduated from Suffolk University Law School – IP Law Concentration with Distinction, and received his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, with a Certificate in Bioinformatics and Genome Technology from Duke University. He earned an M.S. in Genetics and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Fudan University (Shanghai, China), and a Certificate in Computer Software Engineering from the Chinese Ministry of Electronics Industry. David was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School.

David is the author of more than a dozen peer-reviewed research articles published in leading scientific journals, and has presented his research at a number of national and international conferences. The technical expertise he acquired from his doctoral and post-doctoral training at prestigious universities and research institutions enables him to adapt rapidly to today’s cutting-edge technologies.
