Alex focuses his practice on a wide range of intellectual property services including preparing and prosecuting patent applications, trademark litigation, and counseling clients on a range of other business and intellectual property-related issues around the world.  He specializes in providing technical guidance as it relates to the fields of electronics, computer technologies, software, semiconductors, medical devices, cleantech, optics, and more.

While studying at the University of Massachusetts, Alex was a member of a senior design team that won First Place in the national University Design Competition for Addressing Airport Needs sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex was a project manager and legal consultant at VentureWell, formerly known as the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance. He coordinated a NSF-funded policy task force charged with researching, analyzing and recommending policies concerning student intellectual property at colleges, universities and other research institutions. This work culminated in the publication “Managing Student Intellectual Property Issues at Institutions of Higher Education: An AUTM Primer,” published by the Association of University Technology Managers.

Alex was a summer associate at the firm in 2015.
