Keith advises clients on the protection of their products through the application of intellectual property strategies integrated and aligned with each client’s unique business goals. His practice focuses on technologies related to electronic, mechanical and consumer products including materials and equipment used in the fabrication of printed circuit boards, functional and decorative chemistries, mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, sophisticated networks and system security architecture, and computer hardware and software. Keith has expertise in all areas of intellectual property, including strategic counseling, extensive patent and trademark prosecution, and negotiation of licensing, joint venture and other transactional agreements.

Keith has over twenty-five years of experience in private practice and as in-house patent counsel. He served as vice president and corporate in-house patent counsel at large public companies, managing all aspects of intellectual property. Keith was instrumental in overseeing the development of an extensive intellectual property portfolio, the enforcement of intellectual property against competitors, significant licensing fees and exclusive positions in key technological areas. Keith has a sincere appreciation for budgetary and other internal pressures that can affect an in-house counsel’s decisions; he knows first-hand the importance of providing quality and cost-efficient legal services.
Keith is a retired Major and Staff Judge Advocate for the Joint Forces Command in the Rhode Island Army National Guard.
