Rackham H. Karlsson joins the firm as an associate. His prior experience includes work at a Silicon Valley-based IP firm, and as a software engineer at Western Union Payment Services. Rackham has a deep technical background in software, including programming languages, machine learning, cloud computing, networking, workflow automation, user interfaces, education software, and social media technologies. He received his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Grinnell College.
Ryan P. Potts joins the firm as a technology specialist. Ryan brings several years of experience as a primary patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office to his work at L&A. At the USPTO, he focused on image analysis technologies and he achieved Masters’ level equivalency in the art related to image analysis. He also has OCR and robotics-related experience. Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University, Pratt School of Engineering.
