Regina McCarthy, who worked as a summer associate at L&A in 2013, will add to the firm’s chemical engineering patent prosecution and counseling practice. Regina received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut Law School and her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. “We are thrilled that Regina has returned to L&A to begin her legal career. Her arrival will allow us to expand service to our diverse client base in the chemical space,” commented Peter C. Lando, a founding partner of the firm.
Shaun Vavra will focus his practice on patent prosecution and counseling for the firm’s electronics and computer technologies practice. Shaun received his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University. Varun Behl, a technology specialist, will focus his practice on the preparation of patent applications for the firm’s electronics and computer technologies practice and in the internet and software practice. Varun received a dual B.S. in Computer and Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with a concentration in robotics and control. “Shaun and Varun are great additions to our team,” remarked Thomas M. Sullivan, a partner in the firm’s electronics and computer technologies group. “Their technological backgrounds add greater bandwidth to what is already one of New England’s largest and most experienced electrical and computer groups, and we are delighted they have chosen to join L&A.”
