Luciann practices in the life sciences group and assists in drafting U.S. and foreign patent applications, conducts due diligence reviews, and performs freedom to operate and patentability analyses. She works with early-stage and established biotechnology companies and brings hands-on experience and conceptual knowledge on a variety of research topics including cancer cell biology, genetics, fluorescence microscopy and membrane protein function/structure to help clients develop strategic patent portfolios.

Before joining Lando & Anastasi, Luciann earned a Ph.D. in Genetics and Genomics at Harvard University under the mentorship of Dr. Mónica Colaiácovo in the Department of Genetics. Luciann’s dissertation work focused on investigating the impact of environmental chemicals on germline function and maintenance using Caenorhabditis elegans as a model for reproductive toxicology.

Luciann has authored and co-authored various scientific articles in peer-reviewed publications including PLOS Genetics and Dalton Transactions.
