Peter practices in the life sciences group. He drafts and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications, performs freedom to operate and patentability analyses, and conducts due diligence reviews. He works with clients ranging from multi-national pharmaceutical companies to biotechnology start-ups. Peter has extensive knowledge in the areas of genetics, molecular immunology, biologics and platform technologies.

Prior to joining L&A, Peter worked as an in-house patent agent at an immuno-oncology company, where he worked cross-functionally with management and R&D to develop and implement IP strategies to protect innovative technologies worldwide. Peter has also worked as a patent agent at a Boston-area IP law firm.

Peter earned a Ph.D. in genetics at Harvard University. His doctoral research focused on signaling factors regulating the coordinated development of the epithelium and vasculature in the hindbrain choroid plexus. Peter was the Editor-in-Chief of the Science in the News Flash and a Leadership Officer of the Science Policy Path Program at Harvard Medical School.
