Rob focuses his practice on a wide range of services including preparing and prosecuting utility and design patent applications, counseling clients on a range of intellectual property-related issues, and providing technical guidance as it relates to the fields of mechanical engineering, medical devices and electromechanical systems. In addition, Rob has experience related to intellectual property license agreements and protection of intellectual property rights in government contracts.
Prior to joining the firm, Rob was an associate at an intellectual property firm in Providence, Rhode Island. Some of his prior representative work included:
Rob was also a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications in the fields of metal working, metal deforming, presses, wire working, printed matter, and binding.
Before becoming an attorney, Rob was an intern at Draper’s general counsel’s office. In addition, Rob worked as a mechanical engineer at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Rob has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in New England. He is an active participant in the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s design law initiatives.
