Applications System Administrator

Assist Firm’s management with maintaining, evaluating and implementing software to meet Firm objectives. Design, and monitor end-user workstations and productivity on local area network. Perform a variety of maintenance, software installation, end-user support and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations meet Firm objectives and user requirements. Provide support to staff on all Firm-supported applications. Troubleshoot computer problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action. Complete application project assignments. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Firm standards, policies and procedures.

We’re looking for a bright and dedicated individual who:

  • has a BS/BA; and
  • 6+ years of computer applications and networking experience, or equivalent applicable work experience (law firm experience preferred, knowledge of patent systems and software is optimal).

  • possess knowledge of computer and/or systems, applications, procedures and techniques;

Our Docket & Intake Clerk manages the firm’s conflict checks, intranet/intakes and intake inbox. Handles the organization of transfer in and transfer out files. Assists with Docketing mailbox and may assist with PTO items and other duties as assigned.

Our Docketing paralegal manages all prosecution correspondence for patent, copyright and trademark for U.S., Foreign and TTAB matters. The Docketing paralegal enters and maintains the IP docketing and electronic databases. This position is responsible for entering deadlines, related data, maintaining data integrity, intake requests, generating reports and electronic file wrappers in conjunction to keeping up with Rule Changes and knowing/understanding Country Rules.

  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and proofreading abilities

IP Assistant

L&A’s IP Assistant maintains and manages attorney dockets and handles all aspects of US patent prosecution; the preparation of IP documents; e-filing with the USPTO, drafts documents and correspondence, manages attorneys’ schedules and keeps them apprised of upcoming deadlines and interacts with attorneys, clients and courts. The IP Assistant processes client bills. This position is responsible for maintaining data integrity and electronic file wrappers.

  • Has a BS/BA and a Paralegal Certificate
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required
