Inline Plastics Corp. v. Lacerta Group, Inc. (D. Mass. 18-cv-11631).

Judge Hillman denied a joint motion by the parties to delay the trial that is scheduled to begin on January 31, 2022.  The reasons cited in the joint motion were that lead counsel for Lacerta have a two-week trial scheduled to begin on January 18th in Florida.  The Florida trial was subsequently moved to June, freeing up counsel for the Lacerta trial.  Judge Hillman’s order required the parties to confer and notify the court on whether they would object to seating only vaccinated jurors, and indicated that he would assess the COVID situation in January and determine whether it would be safe to conduct the trial as scheduled.
