Stross v. IvyMedia Corporation et al. (18-cv-10240).

  • October 25, 2018

Photographer Michael Stokes accuses Provincetown nightclub Crown & Anchor of using several of his photographs in on-line and social media advertisements.  Stokes says that he never authorized or licensed the use of these photographs, and asserts that Crown & Anchor either downloaded and copied them or controlled the entity (e.g., their website developer) that did so, constituting direct copyright infringement.  The case is before Judge O’Toole.
