L&A is committed to celebrating and empowering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community, and to fostering a culture of empathy, consciousness, and action. On June 22, we hosted a discussion with members of our team and writer and former activist, Brett Will Taylor, on the history and current perspectives of LGBTQ+ Pride Month and ways to practice being inclusive every day.
“What’s important to remember about the history of PRIDE is that, within it, are countless personal stories. Learning those stories is key to practicing inclusion,” Will shared. “As you do, I always suggest you put down your assumptions and pick up your curiosity.”
