Inclusion on this list is based on several metrics including the number of intellectual property lawyers based in Massachusetts (only those who spend at least 75% of their time devoted to IP law matters), patent attorneys admitted to practice in Massachusetts, and of support staff who support the IP practice. Also included in the overall ranking is the total number of U.S. and international patents filed and registered during the research period.
