Lando & Anastasi, LLP (L&A) announces Angelyn Larkin, Ph.D. and Peter Yang, Ph.D. have joined the firm as patent agents in our life sciences practice.

“We are excited to welcome Angelyn back to the firm. Her experience in organic chemistry and client relationships provide a wonderful synergy with our existing group. We are also pleased to have Peter join the firm, as his experience in genetics and biology expands our life sciences offerings to clients,” commented Diana Collazo, a partner and head of the firm’s Life Sciences group.

Angelyn Larkin is an organic chemist patent agent, who prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications, specializing in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry, and biotechnology. In addition, she performs freedom to operate and patentability analyses, due diligence reviews, and provides general intellectual property counseling.

Angelyn conducted her postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and received her Ph.D. from MIT, where she characterized various aspects of protein glycosylation through a combination of organic chemistry and biochemistry. Prior to graduate school, Angelyn was a research associate at Seattle Genetics, focused on developing antibody-drug conjugates for directed cancer therapy. She received a B.A. from Wellesley College, where she conducted undergraduate research on the synthesis of nucleoside analogs.

Peter Yang is a patent agent, who drafts and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications, performs freedom to operate and patentability analyses, and conducts due diligence reviews. Peter has extensive knowledge in the areas of genetics, molecular immunology, biologics and platform technologies.

Prior to joining L&A, Peter worked as an in-house patent agent at an immuno-oncology company. Peter has also worked as a patent agent at a Boston-area IP law firm. He earned a Ph.D. in genetics at Harvard University. His doctoral research focused on signaling factors regulating the coordinated development of the epithelium and vasculature in the hindbrain choroid plexus. Peter was the Editor-in-Chief of the Science in the News Flash and a Leadership Officer of the Science Policy Path Program at Harvard Medical School.
