Overview
Reese is a Summer Associate in L&A’s Chemical & Material Sciences Group, where he focuses on matters relating to patent preparation and prosecution, as well as conducting research and writing on a variety of IP issues. A registered Patent Agent with the USPTO, Reese is interested in helping clients protect innovations at the intersection of chemistry, materials, and biotechnology.
Reese is currently pursuing his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, where he has developed a strong interest in intellectual property law and serves as president of the Drive and Docket Society. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and concentrations in biochemical engineering and engineering management. Prior to law school, Reese gained experience working at a startup in the manufacturing industry on research and development projects, conducting technical research, and supporting early-stage product and patent-related decision-making.
Before joining the firm, Reese served as a summer legal intern at a biotechnology company, supporting the in-house team on patent prosecution matters. He enjoys applying his technical training to practical legal challenges while continuing to develop experience across a range of intellectual property issues.
