Boston, MA – IP boutique, Lando & Anastasi, LLP (L&A), is celebrating its 20th anniversary on June 2, 2023. The firm opened in Kendall Square, Cambridge on June 2, 2003, with three partners and seven support staff. Today, the firm is comprised of more than 50 legal and professional staff and is located at 60 State Street in Boston’s Financial District. This growth is a direct reflection of the trust that clients place in L&A’s practitioners to protect their ideas and innovations, and this is further evidenced by the fact that the firm and its practitioners are consistently ranked alongside some of the largest law firms in the country.
L&A was founded on four key principles: providing clients with a creative approach to their IP issues; focusing on value; working as a collaborative team; and providing outstanding client service. “We have achieved much in these past 20 years,” reflects one of the firm’s founders, Peter Lando. “We have created livelihoods for many, within and outside of the firm, by thinking and acting differently. In fact, almost half of our present team have been with our firm for more than 10 years. And there have been, of course, many client successes – IP portfolios built, cases won, settlements made, and deals signed, but most significant from my perspective is that we have proven that from just a spark of inspiration, a law firm can practice intentionally and with greater consideration for the lives of our team and their families while serving our clients and their business goals with innovative and responsive counsel.”
“The firm is comprised of exceptional people doing exceptional work for exceptional clients,” firm co-founder, John Anastasi adds. “Surrounding yourself with the right people and empowering them to succeed is what makes a truly great firm, and that’s just what we try our best to do at L&A.”
At 20 years, the firm looks back on its history with admiration and respect for its dedicated team, and the distinguished alumni who have contributed to the growth and success of the firm. We also have immense gratitude and pride for our clients, past and present, whose innovations are building a “Better World.”
