Overview

Darrin has over twenty-five years of experience practicing intellectual property law. He has managed patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret prosecution matters for clients domestically and abroad in a variety of industries including automotive, computer hardware and software, electronics, telecommunications, medical devices, and lasers. He counsels clients in complex and extensive due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions or licensing agreements.

Darrin has worked as a law firm associate and counsel and as a solo practitioner. Prior to his legal career, Darrin was an Officer in the Air Force, negotiating and managing Department of Defense (DoD) contracts, including:

  • $500M R&D program for Rome Air Development Center, Air Force Geophysics Laboratory and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency
  • $700M Joint Tactical Information Distribution Systems (JTIDS) Program Office
  • $850M Airspace Management System Program Office; and
  • $1B Missile and Space Warning System Program Office.

During his time in service, Darrin earned two Air Force Achievement Medals, the highest non-combat medal, for his timely and efficacious negotiations of high priority DoD contracts, and received various Air Force Accommodations including Office of the Quarter.
